Where Does sBlogIt! Publish Blog Posts? On Your Platform or My Website?

A question we are always asked when discussing our done-for-you blogging service with potential new subscribers is about where we publish your blog posts. Classical thinking suggests that it should be on your website to keep traffic in one place, but that's not actually true ...

Blog posts fill the screen, knowledge and wisdom shared, soft power grows

Blog posts fill the screen, knowledge and wisdom shared, soft power grows

Small business owners are constantly seeking effective ways to connect with their audience. One key strategy involves regularly publishing blog posts that resonate with target customers and convey knowledge and wisdom, thereby convincing the reader that they're the right person to do business with.

A pivotal question often arises: should blog posts appear on
your website, or can they be hosted on a separate blog?

Your web designer will insist that all traffic comes into your website; they think that visitors will come in, read a blog post, and then explore the services you offer. However, this mindset overlooks one crucial fact: people who read blog posts are not typically looking to purchase from you ... they want their questions answered.

They'll read your blog post and leave ... but there's a far better chance that they'll remember you gave them valuable information, then come back when they see your subsequent blog posts, and ultimately, they'll remember you first when they need your products or services.

It's a common trope that your website is your 'shop window'. It includes your brand, your products and your services, and it's the place people come to when they're looking to work with someone like you.

99% of visitors to a blog are not in that "need now" mindset. They're in the "don't need now, but may need later" way of thinking, and that's why having your blog in a different place is absolutely fine as long as it is branded and has your contact details clearly shown. A menu system that links directly to your website pages is also an advantage. sBlogIt! blogs have all those features.

Now there is a massive caveat here. Your blog and
website must be in the same domain!

Your website is classically at 'www.yourdomain.com' on your web designer's server, and your sBlogIt! blog will be at 'blog.yourdomain.com' on ours. When set up correctly (and it really is a simple DNS tweak to make that happen), Google will view both sites as a single entity and boost the website's ranking thanks to the Google juice the blog is creating by posting fresh new blog posts each week.

There's no reason you can't use our RSS feed to create an index-type blog page on your website that lightboxes our blog posts, but if you do make that page, remember to put at least the latest three blog post links at the bottom of each of your website pages. Hence, as we publish a new blog post for you, Google regularly sees every single page in your website has changed.

Your sBlogIt! blog is optimised to create
the perfect blog post!

Just as your website is your 'shop window', we always consider your blog to be your 'front door', convincing visitors that you are the right person (or people) to do business with because here's all your knowledge and wisdom - with your brand and contact details, but with no hard sell - proving you are the best at what you do.

Outsourcing your blogging to sBlogIt means you can focus on running your business while still providing your audience with valuable new content. Moreover, these posts are optimised for speed and accessibility, ensuring a seamless visitor experience.

It's not just about the words (which are created by AI, but then edited by a human). Our blog posts include an eye-catching, scroll-stopping metaphor image, structured data behind the scenes that entices search engines and AI to index your content, an audio version for accessibility, and all the other bells and whistles that make your blog posts really sparkle.

And the great part is that it's all done on a
simple monthly subscription!

If you're absolutely sure you want your blog posts on your website, then there are many copywriters out there who can help you. But if you want an easy-to-use, done-for-you, professional blogging service that you can outsource to, then consider sBlogIt! as your content creation partners.

We primarily work with forward-thinking business owners who want to enhance their marketing soft power and establish a channel that can genuinely make a meaningful difference.

sBlogIt! can do all that for you, and more!

Until next time ...
