Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 1st May, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how YourPCM Limited ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you interact with our website at https://www.sblogit.com, and with any subscribers blog hosted on our platform under domain names such as:

  • yourname.sblogit.com
  • blog.yourdomain.com
  • or a fully custom domain like www.yourname.com

We are committed to protecting your data and being fully compliant with the UK GDPR and the laws of England and Wales.

🔒 Who We Are

YourPCM Limited is a UK-based company that owns and operates the sBlogIt! platform. We build and host branded blogs for small businesses, and provide tools for publishing, mailing list signup, and basic visitor stats — all without compromising privacy.

Registered in England and Wales.

📥 What Data We Collect

We only collect data when necessary, and it’s usually one of the following:

  • Email addresses (when a visitor subscribes to a mailing list on a client’s blog)
  • Minimal anonymous analytics data (server-side only, no cookies or tracking pixels involved)
  • Facebook/LinkedIn Access Tokens (for authorised blog sharing only, from clients)

We do not collect any other personal or sensitive information unless explicitly provided.

👩‍💻 How We Use the Data

Email signups go into a central database but are only ever visible and usable by the client whose blog the visitor signed up through. Access tokens are used solely to share blog posts and occasional marketing content, with full authorisation from the client. We do not share any data with third parties, advertisers, or analytics providers. Ever.

🌍 Legal Basis for Processing

Under the UK GDPR, our legal grounds for processing are:

  • Consent – when someone signs up to a mailing list
  • Legitimate interests – for running and securing the platform, blog performance, and usage reporting

🔄 Data Sharing & Storage

We don’t share any data with third parties. The mailing list data is stored securely in a central SQL database, but access is limited to the subscriber and never used by anyone else. All blog usage data is anonymised and processed server-side — no browser tracking tools are involved.

📦 Data Retention

Mailing list signups are retained until unsubscribed or deleted by the client. Access tokens for social media sharing are stored only while valid and are removed when expired or revoked.

🌐 International Transfers

Nope. Never going to happen. Your data stays in the UK, on servers we control exclusively.

🔐 Your Rights (under UK GDPR)

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct or delete it
  • Withdraw consent (unsubscribe)
  • Lodge a complaint with the ICO if you think something’s gone wrong

To exercise your rights, please email us at steffi@sblogit.com

🍪 Cookies

Like most websites, we use a few cookies — but only the good, wholesome kind. No tracking, no creepy ads, no third-party nonsense. Cookies on the sBlogIt! platform are used solely for functional purposes, including:

  • Session cookies: to keep things running smoothly while you're browsing
  • Popup tracking cookies: to remember if you’ve already seen/dismissed a popups, so we don’t annoy you again too soon
  • Mailing list cookies: to prevent showing signup prompts again if you've already subscribed

We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party tracking systems. All our usage tracking is done anonymously and server-side, with no identifying data stored in your browser.

These cookies are considered strictly necessary, so under UK GDPR and PECR, they do not require consent. However, we still think it’s polite to tell you — and we provide a small notification banner when you visit the site, just to be transparent.
