For the entire time we've been creating blog posts for our subscribers, whenever we've included facts and figures from the likes of the government, we've added a 'Please Check Facts & Figures' message to our email notifications. That's all changed now, thanks to AI ...

Enhance subscribers, Blog posts checked with great care, Words ignite and spread

We've just introduced a ChatGPT-based fact checker. At any point in the writing process, we hit a button and it will use a range of data sources to check that what we're actually writing is accurate. It's a fabulous addition to our blog creation process.

This takes the responsibility off our subscribers!

Now, this isn't always a necessary check we need to make. For opinion pieces and talking about a subscriber's service offering, it's not needed. However, when we're talking about new legislation, tax or rate changes that the Government, the Bank of England, the ONS, or other public sector bodies announce, then they really do need to be accurate.

In addition, if we're using a URL from a website to create a blog post, then having a number of extra sources for that information in the form of UK news outlets like BBC News, Financial Times, Telegraph, and the Guardian is always a handy thing to have, even if their political leanings differ.

Once our AI Checker has scanned one of our blog posts and told us what it thinks of each fact we've included, we'll get a summary report with a final confidence score. If that number isn't above 90% (there will always be some opinion in there), then we need to examine the facts and figures that it believes to be incorrect and fix them.

Now we can publish with confidence!

We're not claiming to be financial experts, and it's always been a worry for our founder, Steffi Lewis, when we publish a blog post that our financial-oriented subscribers haven't been able to approve, mainly because they're busy, on holiday, or we're working to a tight publishing schedule.

Another outstanding feature of the sBlogIt! done-for-you blogging platform.

Until next time ...
